A Good Solid Primer On Bird Photography

This is a very well written book on bird photography. Included are a wide assortment of the author's photographs which he uses as examples of the concepts and techniques he describes in the book. While it's true that some of these tips are pretty universal, such as how to set up for shooting in your backyard, there are some techniques I had never heard of before. Proper use of the equipment is also a pretty valuable part of the book. I would say it's one of the top 3 bird photography books I've read so far.

Great read on photographing birds

Another great book on bird photography. Mark goes through the whole process of choosing a camera and accessories with much up to date information. Many of his photos back up the information he is bring forth and are of high quality. Mark has several ideas for setting up an environment for photographing birds in your backyard and also what to look for when visiting a nature reserve. His post processing and sharing of photos is also covered. Reading his guidelines for working in the field are another reminder of how to approach photographing birds without stressing them should be required reading before leaving the house.
